📊 Early Warning Module Overview

The Early Warning Module integrates various student data points (grades, assessments, behavior, and attendance) into a single platform. 

Key Features:

• Clickable Charts
• Sortable and Filterable Tables
• Individual Risk Profiles that offer a comprehensive view of a student’s demographic and historical data.
• Early Warning provides insights into a student’s risk across multiple areas.

Navigate the Early Warning Module

1. The header at the top left of the dashboard indicates your role. This determines the areas of information the user can access. 
2. You can filter the view via the Edit Page Data Settings to the right of the page title.

3. Below the header is a list of containers. Containers display screen views of various types of data, the most common of which are graphs and data tables.

4. Below a chart, click the risk level ledger item to hide the bar or column from the chart. Click again to return it.

   Note: No Risk Students may be truned off by default. Click in the legend to turn on if desired.

5. Hover over any portion of a graph to see additional information about that graph section. 

6. Click on any colored graph region to see the data that makes up that portion.  
   1. Click the eye icon to view the student dashboard for more detailed information.
   2. Click the View EWM Profile icon for the Early Warning Module Student Profile.
   3. Filter columns by using the keyword search or filter icon at the top of the columns.
   4. To create a student group, click the checkbox to the left of one or more students, or select all by clicking the checkbox in the top-left corner.
      1. Click the Selected Gear in the top left of the data table and choose Add Students to Student Group.
      2. Select the radio button to Create New Group or Add to Existing Group.
         1. Fill in the student group name or select an existing group by clicking the Student Group field and clicking the checkmark to the left.
      3. Click Save.
      4. Navigate to Student Groups in the left navigation to manage the student group selections.

7. Collapse or expand a container by clicking the collapse container symbol in the top right corner.
8. Download a chart image by clicking the download icon in the top right corner.

View Early Warning Module Summaries

1. Start under the left navigation:
   • Overview: Here, you will find an overview of the discipline, grades, and attendance risk charts, as well as a monthly summary of the discipline and attendance.
   • Early Warning Summary: Here, you will see the Discipline, Grades, and Attendance Risk Summaries, as well as Discipline, Excused, Unexcused, and Grade Risk Comparison charts between buildings.
   • Discipline Summary: This section shows the total number of monthly discipline incidents. Location, behavior, birth sex, and race, or by reporter charts, may further break this down. In addition, you may view Incidents reported by day, week, month, grade level, and school.
   • Attendance Summary: This section shows the total number of monthly attendance events. Gender, race, grade level, day, and day of the week may further break this down.

View Defining Risk Information
