Each month, after the Monthly Progress is determined, several tools are developed to help programs monitor task completion and communicate progress to parents and students.

Sharing with Parents

Once monthly progress has been determined, parents can no longer edit the “parent input” box, which becomes read-only. Also, at this time, a checkbox appears that allows parents to indicate they have received the progress determination, and an additional text box becomes available for comments.

Sharing with Students

Once progress has been determined, the Certificated Teacher can only edit the checkbox labeled "Monthly Progress Reviewed with Student."  For programs that meet with each student to review monthly progress, this tool allows them to track and document this task.

Monitoring

  1. Via the Monitor Monthly Progress page, optional columns can be displayed to surface the data recorded above. Using the Data Table Actions & Options gear at the far right, in the Columns/Properties section, choose the month and which columns you would like displayed. Click the check marks to add columns.

  1. These additional columns will display Yes or No to indicate whether the parent acknowledged progress and/or shared it with the student.

  1. An additional column, All Subject Courses Progress Complete, can also be displayed to show if monthly progress determination has been completed for individual courses.

  1. Filters are available in each column to further narrow results.
  2. In addition, the data in this table can be downloaded from the Data Tables Actions & Options menu and further manipulatedin Excel.

Monthly Progress History

In the Monthly Progress Interface for a student learning plan, each tabbed course contains a selector that opens a data table showing the History of progress in that course over time.
