Here, you will learn to navigate the homeroom dashboard.

Avatar Actions

Site Navigation (Connect):  Select the Application Bundle > Application >Role
Guided Tour (Connect)
  Releases: Access new release updates.
  Notifications: Access to view alerts. Alerts inform you, among other things, when a report is ready for download.

Help: A popover window will appear offering the following options:

  • Visit our Help Center: Search our Knowledge Base Articles
  • Request Help: Contact a support representative or email support@schooldata.net
  • View My Requests  - A view of the user's history for specific requests made in the past
  • Training & Support Calendar

  Videos: Access to help videos.

Click the User Setting (Avatar/Name) to access Application Actions and Options, or Log out. A popover window will appear. 

Click Manage My Account to update your avatar, change your password, and select Zoom and high-contrast features.

Left Navigation

The left navigation menu is organized to help users navigate the various options.   The arrow on the right signifies a dropdown menu of additional options. NOTE: The user list displayed will differ depending on the user's role. 

Select your Role from the dropdown menu.

  • My Default Dashboards identifies any dashboard the user has favorited in the list of All Dashboards.
  • School District will display the district dashboard.

Further down under Dashboards, you may access the following:

  • My Favorite Dashboards identifies any dashboard the user has favorited in the list of All Dashboards.
  • All Dashboards will display the list of all available dashboards. Users can then select the appropriate default or favorite dashboards.



 

Schools will allow you to view each school in the district. You can launch a school dashboard or view the students in current or previous school years.

  • Behaviors: Attendance, Incidents, Referrals

Students allow users to browse through students in various scenarios.  

  • My Students enables users to view all students available for their specific roles.
  • Student Search: Search students by name, ID, school, and grade level.
  • Find Students By Teacher: Search students by teacher.
  • Find Students By School: Search for students by school, school year, and grade level.
  • Guardian
  • Demographics: Gender, Grade Level, Age, Federal Race, Home Language, Native Language, Birth State, School

Students Groups allows users to access the Create Student Group application and browse automatically created student groups.  

  • Create Student Group
  • System Created Student Groups
    • Groups By Teacher
    • Groups By School
    • Brose Student Groups by District

Assessment Tests 

  • All Assessment Tests allow users to view assessments in an organized fashion, organize assessments into subgroups, and organize individual items for analysis.
  • Assessment Sets
  • Student Growth allows users to select two assessment tests to analyze student growth.

My Creations provides access to district/user assessments, assessment sets, and personal Logins/Links.

My Assessments allows you to create/edit assessments and then upload assessment scores.

  • Upload Assessment Scores
  • View Uploaded Scores
  • Edit My Assessments

My Assessment Sets is where a user creates and edits assessment sets.

My Links / My Logins allows users to create personal logins and links used regularly.

Data Extracts allows you to access various reports, tables, and charts.

SubPage Navigation = Tab Menu

A Tab Menu is at the top of most pages, making it easy to navigate subpages. Click on a name from the dropdown menu to jump to that container.

Container Tools / Chart Actions & Options

  1. Expand/Collapse containers at the top right of the container. The dashboard changes will be retained until cleared.
  2. Some containers may have multiple tabs at the top to access additional screen views.
  3. The top-right containers contain additional icons for Actions and Options (hiding/displaying and downloading).
