NEW! SchoolData Connect Interface Updates

This article  provides an overview of the latest enhancements made to the SchoolData Connect user interface in our October 28, 2026 release.  While the updates below are shown in Homeroom, they appear across all SchoolData Connect applications.
 

Layout

The updated layout features a cleaner, more modern, and distinct design.

Selecting a tab reveals the items underneath.

• The user's current application, role, and active dashboard are now prominently displayed at the top. 
• The Switch option is more prominently displayed for seamless navigation between Dashboards
• The page settings button was relocated to the View Filters button.

For ease of use, we recommend using the View Filters to change page settings. 

• Enrollment and Data buttons display the active school year(s). Hovering over the data button reveals all selected years when multiple years are applied. 

• The More button indicates additional filters selected in the page settings, beyond the default filters. Clicking the button will display the additional filters the user has selected. If no additional filters are selected, the More button is not displayed.

Tool Changes

The number of tools has been reduced to consolidate functionality.

• Notifications: Located beneath the bell icon, this area consolidates all notifications and organizes them into tabs.

• Help Center access changed from life preserver icon to question mark in circle.
• The Connect AI Agent is available anywhere in the Connect platform.

• ADA settings moved to the front so easily accessed by users
• Ability to adjust text size - toggle on/off
• Zoom factor - select zoom percentage
• High Contrast - toggle on/off
• App Navigation Open - keeps the left navigation panel open by default
• Always Display Content Menus - turns container menus on/off on Overview tab
• Language Selection - now relocated to the user profile
• Demo Mode - toggle on/off
• Privacy Policy - Access to updated Definable Solutions policy
• Sign Out - logs users out of the system

Manage Account and Settings Link

• Manage My Account has been changed to Manage account & settings
• This page has been expanded to include access to pages that were previously only available on the generic SchoolData application pages.
• Applications - Lists all of the applications the user has been given access to
• Items - Lists all configuration items they have saved.
• Files - Lists all files they have generated, not just the ones that were delivered via notifications. It includes PDFs they can quickly view and other types of files they have available in the download option. It will list all files they have clicked “download” for.
• Activity - displays a log of their user activity showing all pages they have visited.
