✏️ Create and View Manifestation Determinations (Connect)

Here, you will learn to create a manifestation determination.

1. Start under Manifestation Determination and choose Create Manifestation Determination.

2. Start by clicking the magnifying glass in the Student field, then click the checkbox next to the student’s name.
3. Select the 504 Coordinator field similarly.
4. Fill in a Brief description of the student’s disability based on evaluation data.
5. Fill in a Description of the incident that resulted in disciplinary action.
6. Fill in a Description of relevant information and data considered.
7. In the Part One section, click the checkbox if the conduct is a manifestation of the student’s disability. The team will need to review the student’s placement and determine whether any behavioral supports, such as a BIP, are appropriate to implement.

8. In the Part Two section, if the answer to one or both of the questions in Part One is Yes (or checked), the behavior manifests the student’s disability.
   1. Click a checkbox in the Check One field. The behavioral violation WAS or WAS NOT a manifestation of the student’s ability.
   2. Fill in the Next Steps field.

9. Click Save.

View Manifestation Determination 

1. Start under Manifestation Determination in the left navigation menu and choose View Manifestation Determination.
2. You will see a data table of the created manifestation determinations.
3. Click the magnifying glass next to the student's name to view and edit the document.
4. Click the Row Actions Gear to the far left to Edit and Delete.

5. To edit en masse, click one or more checkboxes to the far left, click the Selected Gear in the top left, and choose Configure Selected Manifestation Documentations.
