In the modern K-12 landscape, the primary challenge isn’t a lack of data—it’s the time required to make that data actionable. Connect AI serves as a built-in digital analyst, bridging the gap between raw information and life-changing support. By synthesizing attendance, behavior, and academic history into a clear, immediate narrative, Connect AI empowers staff to move beyond data mining and start intervening. At the same time, there is still time to impact a student’s trajectory.
Connect AI is more than a dashboard; it is a specialized System of Action engineered to serve every stakeholder within a school district.
Strategic Objectives
- Proactive Advocacy: Accelerate the identification of at-risk students by recognizing shifts in attendance, behavior, or academic performance, providing the earliest possible signal for intervention.
- Systemic Equity: Deliver advanced analytical insights for immediate access to subgroup analyses and longitudinal outcome patterns, transforming qualitative perceptions into empirical evidence to defend equity initiatives.
- Operational Capacity: Function as a digital analyst by providing instantaneous evaluation of key metrics, eliminating technical barriers for all staff during reviews, presentations, and conferences.
- Data-Driven Outcomes: Identify and emphasize critical data points essential to improving student success across the district.
Security
The core of Connect AI is its security architecture, which is built directly into the existing School Data framework to ensure immediate role-based access and full FERPA compliance. Connect AI is not a standalone application. It is natively integrated throughout the SchoolData Connect ecosystem. Because the system draws insights solely from the district's own SchoolData warehouse, users can confirm the origin of all data before implementation.
By functioning within a closed environment without public-facing tools, Connect AI maintains rigorous data privacy and security protocols. It leverages Claude by Anthropic via Amazon Bedrock on protected AWS infrastructure to keep all data processing internal. As a result, district information is never used for training public models or shared with outside parties. Furthermore, strict adherence to existing SchoolData Connect platform permissions ensures that users can access only the data they are authorized to view.
