SchoolData uses two different forms of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

  • AI Insights: The SchoolData platform employs advanced Artificial Intelligence to translate intricate visual data into immediate, simple-to-read narratives. This specialized tool enhances educational efficiency by automating the analysis of data visualizations in the Homeroom and Early Warning modules, effectively democratizing data access for all staff. To maintain rigorous security, the system localizes or removes all personally identifiable information before any processing occurs. All student-specific information remains strictly within our internal infrastructure and is never disclosed to external parties or model providers. Furthermore, district-specific datasets are used exclusively for immediate analysis and are never utilized to train or refine public AI models. Administrators retain comprehensive oversight, with the ability to enable or disable AI functionality and the Insights tab in accordance with local district protocols and implementation timelines.
  • Connect AI: The platform features a specialized digital analyst that functions natively within the SchoolData (Connect) framework, maintaining strict alignment with existing data privacy protocols and full FERPA compliance. By operating within a closed ecosystem, the system avoids public-facing tools and leverages Claude by Anthropic via Amazon Bedrock on protected AWS infrastructure. This secure architecture ensures that all processing remains internal; consequently, district datasets are never disclosed to third parties or used to train public AI models. Furthermore, access to information is governed by the user's established role and permissions within the SchoolData MTSS ecosystem, ensuring that staff engage only with the data they are authorized to view.
