Here, you will learn to view and manage Highly Capable Students.
All HiCap Students
- Start under All HiCap Students in the left navigation.
- You will see a data table listing all HiCap students, the additional services they receive, and their HiCap Learning Plan.
- Click one or more checkboxes to the far left to add students to a student group.
- Click the Selected Gear in the top left and choose Add Students to Student Group.
Select the New or Existing Group radio button.
- Fill in the Student Group Name.
- Or select the Existing Student Group by clicking the magnifying glass and clicking the checkbox to the left.
- Click Save.
Manage All HiCap Plans
Here, you will learn how to view HiCap plans for the current year, filtered to show only students for whom you have permission to view them.
- Start by selecting Plans in the left navigation menu, then choose All Plans.
- You will see a data table of the plans that have already been created for students you are associated with.
- You can filter the Plans list at the top of any column.
- Use the Row Action Gear to the far right to View HiCap Plan or Delete a plan.
- Click a studentβs name to view their HiCap Plan.
- Select one or more checkboxes on the left of the data table to manage multiple plans.
- Click the Selected gear in the top left and choose one of the following:

Adding Task Evidence
Tasks can only be added to a plan once Goals have been set.
- Start under All Plans in the left navigation and click the student name to open the Highly-Capable Student Plan.
Click the Row Action & Options gear to choose Configure.
- Click the Add Evidence Record button in the top right corner of the Highly Capable Educator Plan Task Evidence Records section.
- Fill in the Evidence Notes field.
- Click the β+β icon in the File field, click Choose a File, open the file, and click Accept.
- Click Save.
- Click the Add Evidence Link button in the top right corner of the Highly Capable Student Learning Plan Task Evidence Links section.
- Copy and paste the URL into the URL field.
- Fill in the Text and Description fields.
- Click Save.
Mass Update Goals
- Start by selecting Plans in the left navigation menu, then choose Mass Update Goals.
- You will see a data table of student goal selections.
- Click the checkbox in the Goal Was Met column. A check mark denotes that the goals were met, and an empty box indicates they have not yet been met.
- Click on the Goal Details Column cell to update notes.
