Q: At any grade level, if a data point is missing, will it calculate the risk using the data it does have? (Example: We do not use WA Kids for 1st grade, will it still be calculated?)

A: If there is no data, all the values will be zero. It wouldn’t calculate toward risk.

Q: Does this look at discipline incidents from both SWIS and SIS? Does this double-count the weight of discipline in the overall risk?

A: It pulls the data from both. If they use SWIS and the incident matches the referral, it would be counted twice.

Q: How is the Current Year (CY) Attendance Rate figured?

A: Attendance rates are the ratio of periods present divided by the number of periods enrolled. This is district-wide. For example, if a student takes a class at both the high school and the middle school, both are factored into the risk. It is not school-specific.
