Here, you will learn to navigate the Four-Year Plans application.
All CoursesÂ
This is where students and educators can review all of the active courses at their school. If you are looking for a specific course, you can type the name of your class/course in the “Course Description” column. Click the Course Code to view a pop-up that contains more information about the course. Select your favorite (heart icon) courses to filter through later when building a plan.
Four-Year-Plan TemplatesÂ
Educators and Students can browse the Template options available to build a plan here. Templates are the main building blocks for students to build their Four-Year Plans. Every district is assigned default templates upon setup. However, templates may also be custom-made, so students may want to review them to determine which one is most applicable, as some include suggested courses, specific Graduation Requirement orders, and other relevant details.Â
Search for a template by typing a title in the column filter box or clicking the Column Actions and Options gear.Â
To view the template, click on the Row Actions and Options gear icon on the same row to the right of the template and then click “View Plan Template.” Alternatively, you can instantly create a plan by clicking “Create Plan for Student” as an educator or “Create Plan for Me” as a student.
Create a Plan for Student / Create New Four/Year PlanÂ
By clicking “Create Plan for Student” (educator) or “Create New Four-Year Plan” (Student), the details page of the Student Plan will be displayed. Please fill in the required fields before selecting your courses.
See "Building a Four-Year Plan V2" for more information.
My Student Plans / My Four-Year PlansÂ
Here, you can search for a specific plan by either its name or the student's name. Educators will see all the plans they have created, as well as those created by their students. Clicking on the Row Actions & Options gear icon allows the Educator to print the plan, edit the details and courses, make the plan the student's Primary Plan, or delete the entire plan.
Educators can also select multiple plans by clicking on individual checkmarks to the left of students' names or by selecting "All Plans" with the checkmark at the top.
Educators can click the Select Row Actions button in the top-right corner to Lock, Unlock, or Print Selected Plans.
If the student’s plan is locked, the student will need to see their advisor/administrator to unlock it.
College BoundÂ
Here, you will find information on the College Bound Scholarship Program. The College Bound Scholarship program is an early commitment of state financial aid to eligible students who enroll in middle school and fulfill the scholarship's requirements. In partnership with the Washington Student Achievement Council, we provide access to the tools and resources your students need to achieve college readiness.
Financial InformationÂ
Here, students can review information regarding Financial Aid. When clicked, students will notice a blue hyperlink that opens a new window with specific information about the subject they clicked on. (FAFSA, WAFSA, Washington State Financial Aid Resources, etc.)
Additionally, a brief Financial Aid Reflection Survey is available for students to complete. Launch the survey in the top right corner. A pop-up window will appear with various questions for the student to answer regarding the FAFSA information. Students are guided through a survey to demonstrate their knowledge. They check the box to indicate that they understand if they feel informed about their opportunities. There are fifteen questions to complete. The tracking bar at the bottom will turn green as you progress.
Once complete, it will ask you to click the URL and check off the blue banner at the bottom that says, “I understand the Financial Aid opportunities available to me.
This will be reflected by turning the flag green in the top right corner of the student’s Portfolio Completion.
