Here, you will learn how to configure dashboard data settings with filters to choose the criteria that determine the group of students for whom you will be viewing data on the current dashboard.
- Click Edit Page Data Settings next to the dashboard title.
- A popover modal will display page settings for the dashboard you are currently viewing.
- You can change the available filters to change your default dashboard data settings:
- School Year (Student Enrollment) is a single selector found under the School District section. It is the highest level selector for choosing your group of students. To view currently enrolled students, select the current school year.
- School Years (Student Data), also found under the School District section, allows you to choose one or more years’ worth of data to view for the students you selected in the previous step.
- Schools: When checking a school, you can filter to show only students identified as being from that predominant school. You can also filter by School Region or School type.
- Additional Student Filter options let you choose which student data to display, including grade level, federal race, gender, or program.
- Click the checkbox to Exclude Current Year Withdrawn Students.
- Choose a system-generated or user-created Student Group(s) to filter on.
- After making your selections, click the View Dashboard button.
- To the right of the dashboard title, three buttons will be displayed.
- Student Count: This will reflect the number of students for whom this dashboard displays data.
- Data: This will reflect the selection of student data from the school year.
- Enrollment: This will reflect the School Year Student Enrollment selection.
- You can hover over the student count button again at any time to see a pop-up window outlining your filtering selections.
- Your selections will be retained until you make a change.
