Here, you are reviewing highlights of new features in the Evaluation Connect Application.
Key Improvements and Design
- Direct and Visible Access: Emphasizing ease of finding and using features.
- Streamlined Workflows: Making actions more intuitive with clickable elements and better page organization.
- Centralized Management: Consolidating functions for better usability. For example, setting Annual Focus Criteria on the Evaluatee’s Details page and providing prompts for student growth criteria.
- Enhanced Information Display: Improving the presentation of data for easier review. For example, the Annual Summary is an expanded view rather than a pop-up.
- Data Accessibility: Users in all roles will have access to relevant data in various formats, such as reports, data tables, and charts, directly within the Data Extracts section in the left navigation menu.
Specific to the Evaluator Role
These features are designed to give Evaluators a more comprehensive and efficient way to manage tasks and monitor the progress of their Evaluatees.
- Meeting Page: Evaluators can view all tasks (scheduled, late, and unscheduled) for all Evaluatees. This view can be filtered by day, week, or month. Each task listed shows the task name and the associated Evaluatee. Evaluators can directly access and manage any task from this view, just as they would through a standard task list.
- Summary/Evaluator Dashboard: Evaluators can now simultaneously add a single task to multiple Evaluatees.
- Late Tasks Page: Evaluators have a dedicated page to view all tasks across all their Evaluatees That Are past their due date and have not yet been marked as complete.
- My Evaluatees: A list of all the Evaluator’s Evaluatees is available in the left navigation panel for quick access to individual Evaluatee information.
Specific to the Monitor Role
These features aim to provide Monitors with more targeted and efficient oversight capabilities.
- Limited Access: Monitors can be restricted to only accessing specific Evaluator’s Evaluatees. This allows for tiered oversight, such as a Secondary of Education role monitoring only the Secondary Principals, or a Principal monitoring a new Assistant Principal’s evaluations.
- Enhanced Filtering: Monitors now have more robust filtering options to quickly find and monitor staff. This includes:
- Filtering by Position Level across all Evaluators’ Evaluatees allows you to easily view task completion or lateness for specific roles.
- The ability to search for an Evaluatee across all Evaluators within the system.
Evaluator and Evaluatee Role:
- Evaluatee Details Page - Focus Status: Evaluators and Evaluatees can now easily manage the Focus Status of an Evaluatee from a centralized location on the Evaluatee’s Details page.
- Task Related Goals Table: Users can use in-cell editing to edit their responses directly (double-click within the Task Related Goals table). Users can also click on an entry to navigate directly to the associated task.
- Evidence on Annual Summary: The Evidence section on the Evaluatee’s Annual Summary is now designed to be easily expandable on the screen. It will also feature categorized tabs for better organization of the evidence.
- Electronic Signature: While not yet available, the development of an electronic signature feature is underway with the product.
Data Administration Role:
- User and Role Management Tools: These tools allow administrators to create, modify, and delete user accounts, assign roles with specific permissions, and manage access control within the application.
- Configuration Modules: These are parts of the application itself that provide interfaces for setting up and managing the various components:
- Framework Configuration: To define the overall structure and guidelines for evaluations.
- Position Management: To create and manage different job roles or positions.
- Criteria Definition: To establish the standards or metrics used for evaluation.
- Task Template Management: To create reusable templates for tasks within the evaluation process.
- Annual Automatic Task Management: To add new Automatic Tasks to Position Levels or edit existing ones.
- Data Management Utilities: Tools to view, edit, and potentially import/export evaluation year records and related data.
