Homeroom Dashboards - Navigating The Home Page
This Help Article will explain navigating the new Home Page for Homeroom Dashboards..
Logging on to Homeroom Dashboards now presents a Home Page with easier navigation for the user. The left navigation menu has been redesigned to better explain various actions.
By scrolling down the page there are additional ways to access dashboards and spotlights
And a new way to access Student Groups.
The following explains each section of the new front page.
The left navigation menu has the same features but they are organized to help users navigate the various options. Note the down arrows that signify additional options within that menu item.
NOTE: If you have more than one role in the district, your dashboards will have Personas listed on your left navigation bar. Switching between the personas will show different options for your use.
My Dashboards identifies any dashboard the user has favorited in the list of All Dashboards. You can select any of the dashboards in the list by clicking on the link.
Selecting All Dashboards will display the list of all dashboards available in the district. Users can then select the appropriate dashboard.
My Schools presents a list of schools associated with the user for selection.
Assessment Tests allows user to Launch Assessment where the user is able to find assessment data about any student group for any assessment.
My Creations provides access to district/user assessments, assessment sets and personal Logins/Links. Instructions for creating Assessment Sets is detailed here. Information about user defined assessments is available here.
Under My Creations are the following menus:
My Assessments gives you the ability to create/edit assessments and then upload assessment scores.
My Assessment Sets is where a user would create and edit assessment sets.
My Logins/Links allows a user to create personal logins and links used regularly.
Find Students allows users to find students in a variety of scenarios. The user list displayed will be different for users with different roles. The Student Search remains the same, and is the general purpose search that can be utilized in most instances to find a specific student.
Students Groups allows users to browse automatically created student groups within their roles as well as access the original student group application.
The user can also scroll on the main page to find additional menu options for navigation.
Launching Dashboards, Spotlights and Find a Student are available as tiles to click.
Launch Your Personal Dashboard reveals a list of favorite dashboards, and additional dashboards available based on your role. Clicking any of them will launch a dashboard for the user.
Launch a Spotlight Dashboard reveals a list of spotlights available to the user again based on their role. Clicking on any will launch a spotlight.
Find A Student launches a replica of the Find Student menu in the Left Navigation menu. The advantage of using this method is there are explanations of each item in the menu. The list of options will vary depending on the user’s role.
Further down the front page, there is an additional method to navigate to Student Groups. Note by clicking User Created, the user will be returned to the original student group application.
