Classroom has a base concept called Banks, which are collections of unique parts or elements. Some banks have fixed content, and some banks allow users to make deposits of new elements. In addition, some banks have bank managers who aim to ensure quality elements. All banks in Classroom can be searched or Browsed, allowing users to find content quickly.
- Standards: These are collections of state-aligned or district-produced student learning standards. For instance, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These standards can be associated with gradebooks, assignments, and questions.

- Shared Question Templates: Either imported from third-party companies, like the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA - with over 79,000 questions aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or created by district or school educators, these are collections of individual questions (like true/false, multiple choice or directives) which, Your district bank managers review these questions and assignments for quality and content before being added. Usually, these questions are directly aligned to standards. A question template can be used in assignments or assessments as is or modified to make a new question.

- Shared Assignment Templates: These are combinations of questions that comprise coursework, and formative and summative assessments created by educators in the district, which, once vetted by a bank manager, are shared. There can be district or school banks of shared assignments. They can be used in gradebooks or modified to create new assignments.

- My Question Templates: These are questions created by an individual user and accessible only by that user for inclusion in the user's assignments. However, they can be exported to a shared question bank. Once exported, though, the connection to the original question is broken. So questions in My Question Templates should only be given to a shared bank if they are 100 percent complete and accurate.
