The Students section of Classroom provides demographic and assignment information on single students attached to one or more of your gradebooks. It also includes information on how the student performs on any standards attached to your gradebooks and provides the student's report card.
Select Students from the Classroom left navigation screen to access a single student's record.
For the Students section to be populated with names, you must first create at least one gradebook, and from the gradebook settings, attach at least one student group. For detailed instructions, read the article Creating a Gradebook.
You are presented with a list of all the students you have attached to any gradebook. You can search for the student by name using the Search box or filters to narrow the list.
When you have located the student, select their name, which is a link to their information.

The student's details provided are taken from your student information system and Homeroom. They include demographic, family, and other information, like credits and a dropout warning.
Assignments Tab (back to Quick Links)
A teacher with access to the student can see all the student's assignments with any other teacher. You can filter Past, Current, or Future assignments by selecting any button. Further, you can see the student's assignments based on their submitted status, Missing or On-Time.
Standards Tab (back to Quick Links)
Selecting the standards tab will give you a list of learning targets as outlined by your district. Additionally, you can see all of the individual standards you have attached to assignments the student has taken.
First, select a gradebook using the --choose gradebook-- dropdown.
You can expand and collapse the standards using the Open All or Close All buttons. Use the Show Only Gradebook Standards option to remove the targets and concentrate only on the standards.
Grades Tab (back to Quick Links)
From the Grades tab, you can see the student's term and non-academic grades in your gradebooks and any other teacher's gradebook—filter by gradebook to narrow the results.
Report Card Tab (back to Quick Links)
Select any of the reporting options from Report Cards.
Select the Row Actions and Options gear to Print the Report.
Select Report > Progress Report, then use Select to Filter to the gradebook of your choice, choose the grading period, add a Report Message, and Download the report card.
You may also download the report card(s) by going to Student in the left navigation, clicking the checkmark to the left of the name, and Select Row Actions >>Download Report Card. You can select multiple students or all by clicking the top checkmark NOTE: Try narrowing (filtering) your list to a single gradebook or student group.
A pdf document will appear in your notifications once it is ready.
Activate/Deactivate/Reset Password or Unlock Accounts

Click the Student in the left navigation.
To Activate or Deactive, filter by Gradebooks and Is Active.
Select the checkmark to the left of the name, and Select Row Actions to Activate Selected or Deactivate Selected. NOTE: You can select multiple students or all by clicking the top checkmark.
Search by any part of the student’s name and select the checkmark to the left of the name, then Select Row Actions to Reset the Password or Unlock Accounts. You can select multiple students or all by clicking the top checkmark NOTE: Try narrowing (filtering) your list to a single gradebook or student group.
You will provide a password that will be applied as a default password. Notify students. Students should then log in and reset their password to their private selection.
