CAA / CIA widget: Use GradRqYear in the display instead of GradYr
CompletedToni from Richland would like the following change in the display of the CAA / CIA widget:
- When running the CAACIA status report, either replace the GradYr with GradReqYr (which is what drives what a student must pass to graduate), or at least add GradReqYr to it. The data is in the .csv file that is uploaded. Thanks! Toni
Please vote on this use, or better yet, leave a comment and let us know if you think we should
A) replace the GradYr with GradReqYr
B) have both fields in the display (adding more data may mean adding a scroll bar to the widget)

I think we should replace GradYr with GradReqYr.

If I had to choose just one, I'd pick GradReqYr. The GradYr is nice for sorting what kids are up to graduate in any given year, though, so having both (at least in the export) could be nice. There are lots of other fields that don't show up in the widget, but are included in the export. Maybe make GradReqYr show in the widget rendering, but have both in the export?

I like the idea of having both but if only one I'll take the GradReqYr too...

Skyward has GradYr, Next Yr Grad Yr (5th year seniors, ), GradReqBaseYear and WA Grade Yr. The last two are the same. Four most students the four fields will be the same information.
If I need to choose one, I think GradReqYr will be most helpful.

I think GradReqYr is more valuable until the state testing is standardized so that it is irrelevant (wishful thinking)

We are planning to replace GradYr with GradRqYear in the display, and add GradRqYear to the download in an upcoming release of Homeroom.

The CAA/CIA widget now has three graduation year fields:
- Grad Year
- Expected Grad Year
- Grad Requirement Year
Thank you for the great suggestion!1
