Making Form Selections
Many fields provide the opportunity to open up a pop up menu and make form selections. You will see a blue “Select” at the top right which you may click on to open this menu, or you may click anywhere in the field to open.
Some lists require clicking a check mark to the left of your selection to add it to the form.In this example, when choosing “Class Type” you cannot click anywhere on the line, but must click the check box to make the selection. It has been requested that this functionality be expanded to include the ability to click anywhere on the selection.
Gear Icon
The gear icon is specifically designed to provide a menu of selections that are linked to one specific item. In this example, there are several different tasks that can be completed for each student from this list of “All Student Learning Plans.” By clicking on the gear, you may choose if you are going to Edit the Student Learning Plan, open the Student Spotlight, Print or Delete the Student Learning Plan.
In this example, by clicking the gear on the “All Class Meetings” list you can choose to Manage Instruction, Record Instructional Contact, Delete Meeting, or Manage Attendance for that Class Meeting.
Gears can be associated with and allow action items pertaining to a single row item, a data table, a column or even an entire page.

When making a date selection, a handy calendar will appear in the pop up window. You can click on a specific date to have it autofill into the field.
You can navigate through selections using the arrows at the top, or click on the Month at the top to choose from a list of available months.
