INTRODUCTION
The goal is to have all the functionality that existed in Homeroom Classic available on the Homeroom Dashboards. Some things are accessed a bit differently or in a slightly different location. This document aims to help the user find all the features and items in Homeroom Dashboards that they were familiar with in Classic. *Note: If your district has created Custom Dashboards, not all of these containers may be present on the Custom versions.

Navigation Shortcut Bar
Shortcuts to different containers or “widgets” can be found by clicking on the gear icon at the top right of any Dashboard.
Click on the name to jump to that container or click on the check mark to hide/display any of the available containers.
Logins and Links
The list of your available Logins and Links can be found in a similar location in the Homeroom Dashboards. Logins and links setup is accessed by clicking the link in the Left Navigation Menu titled “My Logins/Links.” located under My Creations.
Here you can see a list of your available Logins/Links, make edits to existing links or add new ones using the Action button.
Lookup/Search
Looking for something? Use the “Profile Lookup” container at the top right of the Homeroom Dashboards to search. Hovering over the container reveals the search fields. The dropdown menu can be used to limit your search to students, classes, programs, teachers, etc.
Assessments Widget/Launch an Assessment
Want to choose a specific student group and assessment to view? The user can still launch an assessment by making these selections in a very similar way to Homeroom Classic. On any container that contains assessment data, click on the “Launcher” tab to the far left and launch the Assessment Widget: Launcher.
This allows you to select the type of assessment the user wants to surface.
Once the type of assessment is selected, the user will be prompted to make necessary selections for that particular assessment. More information about the Assessment Launcher can be found in this Help Article.
Assessment Sets
To create and/or edit your own Assessment Sets, choose “My Assessments/Sets” in the Left Navigation Menu under the My Creations section.There is an additional article available in the Help Center with information on Assessment Sets.
User Defined Assessments
User defined assessments can be accessed via the Left Navigation Menu under “My Assessments” located in the My Creations section
The user can Create a New Assessment, Edit an Assessment or Upload Assessment Scores.
Viewing Risk Indicators
Navigate to the Risk Indicator Viewer Container on any of the Homeroom Dashboards and click on the “Launcher” tab to then the Risk Indicator Launcher..
The user will need to make selections to display risk values for a specific student group on a specific indicator.
Data Extracts
All Data Extracts that were available in Homeroom Classic are in the process of being converted to be used in Homeroom Dashboards,
Data Extracts can be found in the Create Data Extracts container located on the Principal and District Administrator Homeroom Dashboards.
Additionally, Data Tables that have been converted from Data Extracts can be found in the Data Tables Application. Navigate here using the bundle navigation bar at the top of the application. On the right choose the icon for the Data Extracts bundle, then the Data Table application icon and click the Enter button.
Here the user will find dozens of available Data Tables that can be created and saved according to your preferences.
Calendar Icon to View Previous Years Data on Student Spotlight
To view previous year’s data for Attendance or Grades on the Student Spotlight (previously accessed by clicking on the little calendar icon), click on the gray gear at the top right of the screen view and choose “Data Settings”
From here the user can designate a school year under the School Year Select dropdown and Reload.
