Depending on your career, you can expect to put in anywhere from a few hours to several years of additional training and education after high school. For example, a new general construction worker must complete up to a month of on-the-job training to work independently, while a lawyer must complete about seven years of undergraduate and law school study and pass a bar exam before beginning work.
To answer the question How much time are you willing to invest in your education?, click on the drop-down window and select the maximum amount of time you're willing to invest. This will factor into your list of suggested careers at the end of the exercise. For example, if you choose 2-3 years, this will filter out all careers that require more than 3 years of training and education.
*If you don't know how much time you want to invest in your post-high school education, choose the blank option.*
