The Students section of Classroom provides demographic and assignment information on single students attached to one or more of your gradebooks. It also includes information on how the student is performing on any standards attached to your gradebooks, as well as providing you with the student's report card.
To access the record of a single student, select Students from the Classroom directory tree.
You are presented with a list of all the students you have attached to any gradebook. You can search for the student by name using the Search box or filter on a particular gradebook to narrow the list.
When you have located the student, select their name, which is a link to their information.
The Details Tab
The student's details, taken from your student information system, and from Homeroom, are provided. They include demographic, family, and other information, like credits and a drop out warning.
The Assignments Tab
A teacher who has access to the student can see all the assignments the student has with any other teacher. You can filter on Past, Current, or Future assignments by selecting any of the buttons. To see only the assignments you have given the student, use the --chose gradebook-- option to filter on one of your gradebooks.
Further, you can see the student's assignments based on their submitted status, Missing, Late or On-Time.
The Standards Tab
Selecting the standards tab will give you a list of learning targets as outlined by your district. Additionally, you can see all of the individual standards you have attached to assignments the student has taken.
First, select a gradebook using the --choose gradebook-- dropdown.
You can expand and collapse the standards by using the Open All or Close All buttons. Use the Show Only Gradebook Standards option to remove the targets and concentrate only on the standards.
Select the name of the standard, which is a link, to see a description of the standard.
The Grades Tab
From the Grades tab you can see the student's term and non-academic grades in any of your gradebooks as well as any other teacher's gradebook. Filter by gradebook to narrow the results.
The Report Card Tab
Select any of the reporting option toggles to turn them on or off (green is on). Then select the View Report Card button.
From here, you can save the report to a PDF file locally, or select Print for a paper copy.
