The Student Group Yearly Growth by Assessment Test Family allows a user to calculate the average scale score growth for a group of students across a series of assessments within a test family (MAP, DIBELS, AIMSweb, etc.).
This extract allows teachers, principals and other school staff to compare the average progress of different student groups over a series of comparable assessments throughout the year. This information enables teachers, specialists and administrators to gauge the effectiveness of instruction and interventions, check for gap-closure progress of subgroups, and compare progress among student groups.
For the chosen student group, assessment test family and subject, this extract will deliver an Excel that shows the average scale score of each group on each assessment in the test family. In addition, the chart calculates:
- The scale score difference between each assessment administration
- Percent change between each assessment administration
- The score difference between first and last assessment administration
- The percent change from the first to last assessment administration
Choose the student group or groups. Select the assessment test family and subject area. Choose the school year for which you want results. Toggle Yes or No to determine whether results are limited to show only assessments with scores or show all assessments. Choose Download XLS.
NOTE: Unlike the Student Group Growth by Assessment Test List, the Assessment Test Family extract pulls the relevant Test Family and Subject data for all students in the group specific to their current grade. For example, if a student group has IEP students in grades 3, 4 and 5, the user could select the MAP Test Family and the Reading subject area, and the average scores for each grade level group of students would be included. This extract will only deliver assessment results for administrations of the assessment test within the selected school year. To choose assessments from previous school years, use the Student Group Growth by Assessment List data extract.
