Before your first time logging in you have to activate your Homeroom account, see the Activate Account article for more information.
The username for Homeroom is usually the same as the username for your SIS (Skyward, PowerSchool, SchoolMaster), but the passwords are not synchronized.
If you have forgotten your Homeroom password you will need to reset it. You may select the reset password link from the login screen (see the Reset Password article for more information).
To log in type in your username and password and hit enter or click .
If you have problems with your username, contact your district's Homeroom Administrator. Select the Help link on the login screen to find contact information for your district.
User Account Settings - Changing Your Password
Once you have logged in to Homeroom, you may change your password from the user account settings menu. This is the most efficient way to have your Homeroom password match your SIS password. From the upper-right corner of the Homeroom window select the Options icon.
Then select the Change Password button. Enter your old password, then enter your new password twice for verification. Once you receive a success message, your password has been changed. School Data Solutions does not force your passwords to expire or require you to change your password, however, we recommend you update your password every few months to ensure the security of sensitive student information.
User Account Settings - Manage Mailing Lists
School Data Solutions would like to send you email notices about new releases, application and server maintenance, and tips and tricks for using our products. To receive these messages we ask you opt-in to our mailing list. Access the Options tool and select "Yes".
General Navigation
To optimize the Homeroom display for tablets, we have added the ability to collapse individual widgets. Select the black arrow to the left of any widget title to collapse, and alternatively, expand the widget.
Here is the display when all widgets are collapsed. There is no need to repeat this process at each future log in, your widget settings are persistent until changed.
Also, to allow for more working space within the window all tabs have been moved to the right of the Homeroom title. Opening more tabs will cause their labels to be truncated and the user account settings will be minimized.
Everything within Homeroom is contained in a single window, or what we call "in page" navigation, except for Full Screen or Print mode.
Within the single window you may travel between widgets by either selecting the widget link from the menu bar, or using the window's vertical scroll bar.
Each widget is independent of the others, therefore, you may need to refresh the widget to update its contents. For instance, if you create a new group from the Assessments widget, you may not see it in the Student Groups widget unless you refresh. Each widget also has its own vertical scroll bar and a close button to hide the widget.
To bring back a closed widget, click the name of the widget with the line through it at the top of the page
