The Student Learning Plan Widget is on any Student Spotlight Tab. This widget contains individual plans for students that are either highly capable or are struggling with single or multiple subject areas.
Click the Calendar Button in the widget toolbar to select a previous school year. The plans can only be viewed - they cannot be edited. Click the View Icon
to see additional information.
Click the Copy SLP Button to copy all data from a previous school year's Student Learning Plan, applying it to the current year. Qualifying Conditions, Goals, Interventions, and Accommodations are all copied. Relevant Assessment Scores, Progress, Accomplishments, Commitments, and Communication entries are not copied. If a current year plan was already started, then copying will merge the copied data from last year with already entered data from this year.
Click the Print Button to print the student's plan. Select which SLP sections to print and if the unselected options should or should not print.
Click the Refresh Button to return to the current year.
Click the Fullscreen Button to view the schedule in a new browser window.
Additional Information
Attendance and discipline information are contained in this section for viewing purposes only.
Qualifying Conditions
This feature of the SLP contains the different attributes that can be chosen to explain why the student is receiving a Student Learning Plan. Click to check all of the variables that apply to the student. Enter a note if needed.
Relevant Assessment Scores
Select the "Add Relevant Assessment scores" button to open the Assessment Chooser. To narrow your search, use the Filter Assessments field
to search by name, or use the arrow
in the right of the field to filter by Assessment Family, Level, or Subject. Selecting the relevant assessment will add it to the SLP. If you wish to remove it, select the "Remove" button
.
note:
When you choose relevant assessments scores in the SLP Manager, this means if a student has scores for those assessments the scores will show. If there are no scores there is nothing to display.
We do not keep track of 'relevant assessment scores' to then show the scores for a student if the student then takes the assessments. If this is something that is desired it will need to be an Enhancement Request.
Accommodations
Click the tab to cycle between accommodation groups. Check all of the variables that apply.
Goals
Click on the "+ add goal" button for a new goal. Click the "edit" button
to edit an existing goal. Click the "view" button
to see more information about an existing goal.
Enter in the primary goal, the goal area, the student's progress and accomplishments, any interventions needed along with the dates for the intervention, and who are responsible for the interventions, and various notes about the student or objectives.
note:
The list of goals will be populated earliest to latest. When entering a new goal it will be on the top of the list. Except in the case where multiple goals were entered on the same day. Then they will populate in the order they were input.
Communications
Click the "+ add entry" button to enter a new communication piece into the widget. Click the link next to the "Communication Plan" text to edit the frequency and method of communication.
Click the link to expand or collapse (hide) the notes. Click the delete button to remove the communication entry. If you are the Communicator, you may edit the note by selecting the
button. Only the user who originally entered the communication may edit it.
Click on the "communication method" button and choose the appropriate communication method. Add notes for additional explanation, then click save
.
Commitments
The commitments feature is where educators decide which general responsibilities each member of the SLP should receive. Click to check all that apply for each member.
If you don't want to see the SLP widget you can press the button inside the widget. To reenable the widget press the corresponding button
at the top of the page.
