Extract Data
Extract data from OSPI’s EDS website: https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us/Login.aspx
- Sign-in to your EDS account.
- Click My Applications on the menu bar.
- Choose Washington Query from the list.
- Choose your school district from the Organization drop down list.
- Choose the school year from the School Years drop down list.

Choose the administration of the test from the Administration drop down list. Click Next.
Note: If you’re downloading multiple data versions it is very important that you click Next each time you choose a new data version.
- Select the SPSS 'Text File' link to download the file. (NOT the SPSS Syntax link)
- Save the file with a descriptive naming convention such as the following::
- {SchoolDistrictName}_{time period covered}_{assessment}.txt
- Toppenish School District_12-13_State.txt
Auto Load
- Log into Data Admin: [yourdistrictname].schooldata.net/admin
- Select Uploads>Upload Assessment Scores>Automatic Score Loader / Review Uploads
- From the Select Loader drop-down, choose the appropriate school year "OSPI SPSS File Loader"
- *From the Required Parameters drop-down, choose the Administration term (August, November, Winter, Spring) that corresponds to the term of the file being loaded. If ‘Do Not Use an Administration’ is selected, there will be no administration associated to the scores. Related Article: https://sdshelpdesk.zendesk.com/entries/41921418-SPSS-File-Auto-Loader-Test-Administration-Selector *(May not apply to ALL Loaders). NOTE: This only applies up to the 14-15 SPSS File Loader. Later years do not have the Administration term selector.
- From the Select Assessment Score File(s) to Upload, navigate to the .txt file you saved in Step 8 and choose the file
- Submit for validation.
- Review validation report and click 'approve' to load the file.
