Use to create automatic groups of students enrolled for next year. This must be run once to create the groups. The membership will be updated nightly. These feeder groups can be seen through the end of the school year.
Web Form
For this process to work, the Skyward school district should:
- Enroll students that are moving from one school to another into their future school with future enrollment records
- (optional) Set up future withdrawal dates for those same students at their current year school.
- This is only necessary so that no groups exist for students at the school they are exiting. Without this, the groups created will just need to be overlooked.
- Select 'submit'
To Verify
The groups will become available after a nightly migration. Only users with District Administrator, School Administrator, or Specialist access will see these student groups. Some information may not be viewable depending on where the groups are used.*
- Log into Homeroom (or a Supplemental Application)
- Access the student group selector (Assessments widget, CAA/CIA widget, etc.)
- Select a School
Remove
Remove the group by using the Halt Feeder Student Group Creation. This only has to be run once, and then the groups will be removed.
Select Homeroom Admin>>Year End Rolover>> Halt Feeder Student Group Creation.
>>
>>
A pop-up window will appear. Simply click submit.
This only has to be run once, and then the groups will be removed.
NOTES:
- Student School Enrollments in Homeroom are interpreted from the STUDENT-EW records in Skyward, based on the EW-DATE, WITHDRAWAL-DATE, and ENTITY-ID.
- The Next Year School, Feeder School, Path, etc. data from Skyward is not used. This is because these fields are not used consistently enough across all districts.
- For more information, please see the attached document.
