This article consists of how to add to the High School & Beyond tasks page for students and/or educators to identify approval or completion of progress.
What you will need:
- HighSchoolAndBeyondDataAdmin permissions given by SDS
- District’s breakdown/expectations per grade level and/or per Graduation Base Year (Example)

Steps for Adding HSB Tasks:
URL: [district].schooldata.net/v2/high-school-and-beyond/#/
To begin, click Data Admin tab and select the Class of XXXX where you want to add to the High School & Beyond Tasks page.Work on one Grad Year at a time, as we can copy them to other Grad Years later.
Adding to the Tasks (Internal Tasks):
These are configured items in the High School & Beyond applications that are intended to take the Educator or Student to that part of the application for review or completion.
To add an Internal Task:
- Click Add Internal Task
- Select a Graduation Year
- Select a Grade Level
- Select an Internal Task
- Click Validate
Adding to the Links:
These can be URL documents that will display for the Educator & Student for review or completion.
To add a Link:
- Click Add Task Link
- Select a Graduation Year
- Select a Grade Level
- Enter a Task Label
- Enter the Task Link - the url of the page you want the student to go to
- Click Validate
Adding to the Surveys:
These selection options are Custom Surveys that have been created with the help of SchoolData.net and can be linked here for review or completion.
To add a Custom Survey:
- Click Add Custom Survey
- Select a Graduation Year
- Select a Grade Level
- Select Custom Survey
- If a survey is not listed as expected, contact support@schooldata.net
- Click Validate
Adding to the Self Assessments:
These selections are embedded Self Assessments from the Career Planner application for Educator or Student to mark completion.
To add a Self Assessment:
- Click Add Record
- Select a Graduation Year
- Select a Grade Level
- Select Self Assessment Type
- Click Validate
