Purpose:
This series of charts displays the progress of a district, based on the distribution of letter grades.
District Use:
Currently one district is utilizing these specific charts on a school specific dashboard. Please contact your CS agent if your district is interested in these tools.
Directions:
Log into SchoolData.net at {YourDistirct}.schooldata.net with your SchoolData.net username and password.
- navigate to the Charts application. Click Create New Chart on the left nav.
- click the Browse Category button under 'By Purpose'
- click the Browse Category button under 'Monitor Progress'
- click the Browse Category button under 'of a District'
- click the Browse Category button under 'on Grades and Credits'
- click the Build Chart button under...
- 'Grade Distribution of Students in the District'
Grades received as the final class-term grades, posted to student transcripts -- year over year

Note: While picking the class-term it is important to note that as the school year progresses, the way the grades are recorded changes. For example, after the 2nd quarter, grades are averaged with the first quarter to create the grade for the semester. After the first semester is over and grades have been recorded, the grades in the 1st and 2nd quarters may no longer be accurate.
