Purpose:
To add, edit and view Learning Standards. **The default standards are Common Core State Standards and should never be edited, if your district has district specific standards that need to be edited, that can be done here.
Directions:
Log into the Admin at {YourDistirct}.schooldata.net/admin/ with your SchoolData.net username and password.
- navigate to the Classroom Admin category >> Learning Standards >> Learning Standards (Element Table)

- some of the information contained in the element table includes:
- Id

Learning Standard
- Learning Standard Abbreviation
- Learning Standard Description
- Learning Standard Level (and Id)
- Learning Standard Category (and Id)
- Learning Standard Subject (and Id)
- Learning Standard GUID
- Learning Standard Is Active
- Parent Learning Standard (and Id)
- Learning Standard Type (and Id)
- Learning Standard Ordinal by Category
- Learning Standard Report Card Ordinal
- add or Edit the information in a web form or via a .csv upload file

Web Form:
The web form is best used for small changes, or one or two additions.
- enter the Learning Standard
- enter the Learning Standard Abbreviation
- enter the Learning Standard Description
- select the Learning Standard Level (optional)
- search for and select the Learning Standard Category (optional)
- select the Learning Standard Subject (optional)
- enter the Learning Standard GUID
- ignore this data piece, it is utilized for update the default Common Core Learning Standards
- select the option for Learning Standard Is Active
- defaults to 'True'
- search for and select the Parent Learning Standard (optional)
- Learning Standard Type
- ignore this data piece
- enter the Learning Standard Ordinal by Category (optional)
- enter the Learning Standard Report Card Ordinal (optional)
- use only if this standard is graded on the Classroom Report Card
CSV Upload:
The .csv upload is best used for multiple changes or additions.
What you'll need:
- Learning Standard Level Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Classroom Admin >> Learning Standards >> Learning Standard Levels
- Learning Standard Category Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Classroom Admin >> Learning Standards >> Learning Standard Categories
- Learning Standard Subject Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Classroom Admin >> Learning Standards >> Learning Standard Frameworks
- Learning Standard Type Id
Directions:
- click the table actions button at the bottom of the window
- select 'download CSV template...' It will be named "TemplateForTable-LearningStandards-[current date].csv".
- open the template in Excel. Leave the header row in tact.
- for each Learning Standard Category, enter the following information row by row, starting with the second row (note some fields are optional):
- Learning Standard
- Learning Standard Abbreviation
- Learning Standard Description (optional)
- Learning Standard Level Id (optional)
- Learning Standard Category Id (optional)
- Learning Standard GUID (optional)
- Learning Standard Is Active (optional - defaults to 'True')
- Parent Learning Standard Id (optional)
- Learning Standard Type Id (optional)
- Learning Standard Ordinal by Category(optional)
- Learning Standard Report Card Ordinal
- save the template as a csv file again
- return to Homeroom Admin and select table actions, then upload.csv
- select the template you modified, and optionally give the file a label.
- click Upload
