Purpose:
This chart displays the progress of a group of students on any assessment series -- by looking at the percentages of the students in each performance level, on each of the assessments in the series.
This is not a longitudinal cohort, meaning that not every student in the group is required to have taken every assessment. Instead, the percentages of each individual assessment, represent the proportion of the students who actually took the test.
For each assessment, the charts displays the number of students from the group that took the assessment.
District Use:
One district is utilizing this specific chart on a school specific dashboard. In this way they can monitor the schools progress on an assessment that is given during the Fall, Winter and Spring of the year
Directions:
Log into SchoolData.net at {YourDistirct}.schooldata.net with your SchoolData.net username and password.
- navigate to the Charts application. Click Create New Chart on the left nav.
- click the Browse Category button under 'By Purpose'
- click the Browse Category button under 'Monitor Progress'
- click the Browse Category button under 'of a Student Group'
- click the Browse Category button under 'on Assessments'
- click the Build Chart button under 'Annual Performance Level Percent, on Assessment Series'
There are two configurations to choose for this chart: a student group and an assessment series.
First, choose a student group. If you need instructions on utilizing the Student Group picker, read this article.
Second, choose an assessment series. If there are no assessment series to choose from, create one by following these directions.
note: The Assessment Series chosen is only displayed in the header, making it imperative it remain in the header so readers know which series is represented (CM-425)
