Purpose:
To view, add, edit and delete items from the list of accommodations in the 504 Plan application.
Directions:
Log into the Admin at {YourDistirct}.schooldata.net/admin/ with your SchoolData.net username and password.
- navigate to the 504 Admin category >> 504 Plan Accommodations (Element Table)
- For more information on navigating in the Admin read this article.
- some of the information contained in the table includes:
- Label
- Intervention Plan Accommodation Type (and Type Id)
- School Year (and Id)
- School (and Id)
- Is Active
- Grade Level Id
- Ordinal
- add or Edit the information in a web form or via a .csv upload file

Web Form:
The web form is best used for small changes, or one or two additions.
- enter the label, this is what is displayed in the interface in the drop down menu
- choose the type, this is the name of the section the accommodations will appear under
- choose the school year, this is the year the accommodation will be offered.
- A new record needs to be added to the table for each year the accommodation will be offered. Read these 504 Admin - Year End articles for more information.
- choose the school, this is the school the accommodation is offered at.
- If the school is blank, it is assumed it is offered at all schools. If an accommodations is offered at more than one school, but not all, a record for each school must be entered into the table.
- choose the correct section from the Is Active chooses
- True if the accommodation is being offered for the school year, this will allow the accommodations to be shown in the application. Choose False if the accommodations is not offered and should not be shown. The N/A is not applicable in this instance.
- choose the grade level, this is the grade level the accommodation is offered at.
- If the grade is left blank, it is assumed it is offered at all schools. If an accommodation is offered at more than one grade, but not all, a record for each grade must be entered into the table.
- enter the ordinal, this is the order in which the accommodations will be displayed in the application.
- The accommodations should be ordered per Intervention Plan Accommodation Type.
CSV Upload:
The .csv upload is best used for multiple changes or additions.
What you'll need:
- Intervention Plan Accommodation Type Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Intervention Admin >> 504 Plan Accommodation Types
- School Year Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Homeroom Admin >> Resources >> School Years View
- School Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Homeroom Admin >> Resources >> Schools
- Grade Level Id
- these Ids correspond to the Grade Level e.g. 4th grade = Grade Level Id 4, 10th grade = Grade Level Id 10.
Directions:
- click the table actions button at the bottom of the window
- select 'download CSV template...' It will be named "TemplateForTable-504PlanAccommodations-[current date].csv".
- open the template in Excel. Leave the header row in tact.
- for each Accommodation, enter the following information row by row, starting with the second row (note some fields are optional):
- Label
- 504 Plan Accommodation Type Id
- School Year Id
- School Id (optional)
- Is Active (True or False)
- Grade Level Id (optional)
- Ordinal
- save the template as a csv file again
- return to Homeroom Admin and select table actions, then upload.csv
- select the template you modified, and optionally give the file a label.
- click Upload
