Purpose:
To set the assignment open, due and close dates / times. These dates / times are used throughout classroom to allow certain functionality. For example,
Open Date - The students can not take an assignment till after the open date / time
Due Date - If a student has not submitted an assignment by the due date / time, the assignment will show as late
Close Date - The student can no longer access an assignment after the close date / time
The informational warnings at the top of the page informs the user of any unscheduled assignments.
The page contains a list of assignments in the gradebook, with the open date, due date, and close date along the gradebook date continuum. The continuum also shows the school term start and end dates.

The informational warnings at the top of the page informs the user of any unscheduled assignments. The informational warnings also show the gradebook start and end date, the assignments must fall between these dates.
These unscheduled assignment warnings coincide with a yellow 'set dates' button in the assignments row on the page.
Leaving the page without setting all the dates will produce a warning. Click the x to close the warning and return to scheduling assignments. Click the 'Continue' button to leave the page.

Directions:
Set Dates:
To set the assignment dates / times, click the 'Set Dates' button. This will open a modal that allows the user to choose the dates from a calendar as well as an option to change the time.
Details about Dates:
Open Date:
is when a student will be able to see and take the assignment on-line.
End Date:
- is when the assignment is officially due
- any student submissions before this date will be marked as "Submitted On-Time".
Close Date:
- allows the user to give the students a grace period; they can still take the assignment on-line, but once they submit it, it will be marked as "Submitted Late".
Interview assignments are ordered by open date then open time, close date, due date then due time, close date, then close time, so if the interview assignments need open on the same date, give them an open time of early am in one minute intervals.
Edit Dates:
You can change the assignment dates by clicking on the open, close, or due date flag for an assignment and change the dates in the modal. The dates can also be changed in the add / edit / view assignment by editing it and selecting the Settings tab, then Dates.
Dates cannot be edited once the assignment has been published and students have made submissions.
