Purpose:
To manage the contributors associated to Gradebooks. The contributors have the ability to use the gradebook functionality in exactly the same manner as the Gradebook owner. One use of this functionality is to allow contributors to administer student Interview type assignments.
Directions:
Log into the Admin at {YourDistirct}.schooldata.net/admin/ with your SchoolData.net username and password.
- navigate to the Classroom Admin category >> Users and Permissions >> Gradebook Contributors (Element Table)
- For more information on navigating in the Admin read this article.
- some of the information contained in the table includes:
- Gradebook Label (and Gradebook Id)
- Application User (and Application User Id)
- add or Edit the information in a web form or via a .csv upload file
- For more information on navigating the Element Table read this article.
Web Form:
The web form is best used for small changes, or one or two additions.
What you'll need:
- Application User id
- this can be found in the Admin - Homeroom Admin >> Homeroom Users and Permissions >> View Users and their Person Roles
Directions:
- search for the gradebook label, choose the correct gradebook by clicking on the label, ensure the label row is highlighted blue
- enter the application user Id
- click submit
CSV Upload:
The .csv upload is best used for multiple changes or additions.
What you'll need:
- Application User id
- this can be found in the Admin - Homeroom Admin >> Homeroom Users and Permissions >> View Users and their Person Roles
- Gradebook Id
- this can be found in the Admin - Classroom Admin >> Gradebooks >> Gradbook View
Directions:
- click the table actions button at the bottom of the window
- select 'download CSV template...' It will be named "TemplateForTable-GradebookContributor-[current date].csv".
- open the template in Excel. Leave the header row intact.
- for each gradebook and contributor, enter the following information row by row, starting with the second row:
- Gradebook Id
- Application User Id
- save the template as a csv file again
- return to Homeroom Admin and select table actions, then upload.csv
- select the template you modified, and optionally give the file a label.
- click Upload
